Practice forum for practitioners working with parents who have had children removed from their care
Working with colleagues at Research in Practice, Claire Mason is chairing a practice forum today for practitioners working with parents who have had children removed from their care. The practice forum is one of a number of events being offered as part of a newly established Community of Practice (see here for more details). The project is led by Claire Mason at CfJ and colleagues at Research in Practice and Pause. The project is being evaluated by Essex University and funded by Public Health England.
This third practice forum will discuss Born into Care: 1000 Mothers in Care Proceedings in Wales, a recent report by the Family Justice Data Partnership team (more details here), published by the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory. Lead author Dr Lucy Griffiths and co-author Rhodri Johnson will join the forum to discuss the findings from the report, which forms part of the Born into Care series focussing on infants in the Family Justice System, led by Professor Karen Broadhurst.
