New article in The Guardian: voices of kinship carers heard
A film - ‘The First Day of Forever’ - made by Centre Co-Director Professor Judith Harwin, in partnership Grandparents Plus and CoramBAAF makes headlines in The Guardian today.
The film hears special guardians speak out about how unsupported and isolated they felt, and makes a powerful case for more support, and changes in practice, law and policy.
It was produced by Rich Berry at https://www.reelthings.co.uk/.
More details about the film, and the research which underpinned it, are available here.
